Alastair Jarvie

Alastair has worked with us since 2003. He graduated from Glasgow Vet School in 2002 and moved to Martin Veterinary Centre after a year doing mixed practice in Montrose. Alastair very much enjoys the variety that working in a small animal practice brings and cares strongly about developing lasting relationships with our clients.

His particular interest is, however, surgery. In 2012 Alastair was awarded a General Practitioner Certificate in Small Animal Surgery from the European School of Veterinary Post Graduate Studies. This has allowed him to offer more advanced surgical procedures to our patients in their own practice. Alastair was also privileged to have been nominated three times by our clients for the Petplan Vet of the Year Award.

Alastair was born and raised in Lenzie and is a former pupil of Lenzie Moss Primary and Lenzie Academy. He still lives here with his wife, 2 daughters, Beth and Cate and dog Rogie, a red Working Cocker Spaniel.

In his spare time, Alastair spends a lot of time walking his dog and loves to cook for family and friends. He can’t wait to get back to California to the ranch he spent many summers on when a student.
