Katie Rae

Katie qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse from Scotland’s Rural College in Oatridge in 2018 and after spending a year working in a small animal practice in Falkirk, the opportunity came up for her to join the team at Martin’s in 2019.

Katie has a particular interest in emergency critical care and behaviour and hopes to further her studies in these areas in the future.

One particular aspect of nursing she enjoys the most is taking care of the inpatients and loves nothing more than encouraging really ill patients to eat with lots of tasty food and giving them extra cuddles.

Katie lives at home with her family, cockapoo Brodie and bichon Darragh.

Her favourite thing to do after a busy week is to go hill walking or for walks in the countryside with Brodie and her friends and their dogs. Katie also enjoy spending time with her family and going on holiday to their caravan in the north of Scotland.
